How Do I Attend an IIR Second Life Event?*
As long as you have access to a computer with speakers and a high speed internet connection…you can join us in Second Life! However, there are a few tips you can follow that will make the experience smoother and therefore more useful and educational:

1. Register Early: IIR can only guarantee access to Second Life events for those registrations received at least 2 hours prior to the start of the event.  Please be sure to register in advance.
2. Permission: If you are trying to access a Second Life event through your employer's network, please make sure that access to Second Life is not blocked.
3. Video: We also suggest that you have a decent video card so that you can fully appreciate the richness of the world we've created for you.
4. Voice: When logging in to Second Life, check your account permissions to ensure your avatar is voice enabled.
5. Be Early: Even though teleporting is instantaneous, it's a good idea to arrive at IIR's island at least 5 minutes before the start of the session.
