Getting Started with Portfolio Management

Successfully managing projects alone does not guarantee an organization’s success; however, successfully managing the right projects, or the projects that contribute to the organization’s strategic goals, will significantly improve an organization’s profitability. An organization’s project portfolio reflects their investment strategy. Effective portfolio management begins with identifying and documenting processes and policies associated with ensuring that the project portfolio is aligned with strategic goals. This workshop will provide an interactive study on portfolio management concepts such as project requests, project approvals, portfolio level prioritization, and on-going portfolio maintenance.
