Managing the costs of oncology drugs is critical in managing an effective specialty pharmaceutical program. The rising costs of oncology drugs are alarming and payors are seeking effective methods for controlling costs while assuring that quality care is being provided to their members. Physicians are striving to provide efficient, cost-effective care to their patients while maintaining financial stability. Payors and providers don't have effective forums for communication, and this workshop will provide an opportunity for discussion between both groups. In this session you will hear from executives from McKesson Specialty Oncology Services, McKesson Specialty Pharmacy Services, and an oncologist who will present solutions and lead a discussion with payors in the audience. Innovative solutions, including challenges and benefits, will be presented.
The following topics will be presented:
Who Should Attend?
Health plan executives responsible for drug spend under medical or pharmacy benefits, provider contracting, utilization review, care management, ancillary services and specialty drug distribution networks.
