On-Site Acitivities at Social Media & Community 2.0 Strategies
Get Connected AT the Event:
Sure, content is available anywhere. But to really be successful in your COMMUNITY engagement and SOCIAL networking efforts, you can’t do it alone. You need authentic interactions. We designed the 2010 program to create meaningful discussions around the topics that matter to you and to facilitate meaningful connections to the people you need to meet.
Collaboration/Reaction Sessions:
What’s the most valuable time of a session? It’s not always the presentation itself. Often, it’s the collective reaction to it, the collaboration/ideas and actions that are a result of it. Look out for sessions on the program where the powerpoint is provided before the event as a webinar- leaving the entire on-site time to be devoted to on-site collaboration/reaction.
Newbie Networking:
If you’re new to the community and social media space, you might feel overwhelmed and not quite ready to join in the conversation. Take part in the Monday Primer on ‘Joining the Conversation’ with special networking time built it for you to make connections with other ‘newbies’ before the main conference begins.
ROI “Crowdsourcing” Roundtables:
You need real ROI metrics- ones that companies aren’t always allowed to reveal during a power-point session. Join in on user generated roundtables and build your ROI strategy ‘off the record’ with insights from your peers.
Industry-Specific Think Tanks:
Think outside the walls’ organized peer to peer meeting opportunities. Designated times will be assigned at the event to break you into smaller groups based on your industry, so you can discuss challenges and opportunities SPECIFIC to your industry.
Loyalist Bootcamp:
If you’ve been in the community space since its inception, you want candid insights from experienced leaders like yourself. Special loyalists advanced bootcamp sessions provide time for you to connect with the experts in the space looking to take part in more intimate, organically grown conversations.
Fireside Chats and Conversational Panels:
Forget one-sided presentations. Social Media is all about engagement. Morning big picture sessions are designed to be a TWO way conversation between the speakers and the attendees to leverage the knowledge of the entire room.
Book Signings:
While it’s critical to keep up to date on the latest trends, it’s not often you get one-on-one exposure from the authors themselves! Get your copy of Charlene Li’s latest book signed at the event.
