Track 1:
Core Competencies for a BA - The IIBA Body Of Knowledge

1:30Requirements Analysis and Documentation

Requirements Analysis and Documentation describes the tasks and techniques that a BA must know to specify solutions to business problems. It describes how a business analyst iteratively develops an umplementable solution that satisfies the needs of stakeholders in a business problem. This KA reduces the bewildering variety of tools and techniques found in software development down to a core set that will cover most of the needs of a working business analyst, while providing a useful foundation for those Bas who need to learn and use more specialized methods.

• Overview of Requirements Analysis and Documentation and its role in the Body of Knowledge
• Understanding analysis and documentation of requirements
• Using the core techniques and learning new ones
• Tips on preparing for the CBAP exam
