Requirements Analysis and Documentation describes the tasks and techniques that a BA must know to specify solutions to business problems. It describes how a business analyst iteratively develops an umplementable solution that satisfies the needs of stakeholders in a business problem. The BA Body of Knowledge has been written by the IIBA (International Institute of Business Analysis) to define the tasks and skills related to Business Analysis. The BABOK will set industry standards for the Business Analyst profession and will be the basis for a Business Analyst certification program: CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional). Aligning the IIBA Business Analysis Body of Knowledge, Knowledge Areas and Certification. By early 2007, the IIBA will be releasing its formal certification program for Business Analysis professionals. This will be the culmination of three years work of: • Identifying and formalizing the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge This presentation will describe the certification process and structure and the steps a business analysis professional would have to go through to take the exam. As well, the presentation will cover the steps the IIBA took in order to ensure its certification will become ISO 17024 recognized, an important milestone for the profession of business analysis.
