Ben Ackerman, Vice President, Business Development, Firethorn, a Qualcomm company
Ben Ackerman joined Firethorn as Vice President, Business Development and oversees all aspects of the company’s business development efforts in the U.S.

Prior to Firethorn, Ackerman served as Director of Business Development for BroadSource, a leading provider of telecom expense solutions, where he managed the company’s strategic alliance development. Previously, Ackerman served as Senior Director of Air Quality Sciences, a provider of solutions to create healthy indoor environments. As part of the senior management team, Ackerman was responsible for strategy development, information technology and overseeing all aspects of the company’s operations.

Ackerman obtained his Bachelor of Science in Ceramic Engineering from Clemson University and his MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.


Anil D. AggarwalAnil D. Aggarwal, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, TxVia
Anil D. Aggarwal is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of TxVia, a technology company that is revolutionizing prepaid card processing. Mr. Aggarwal is also Founder and Chairman of the Network Branded Prepaid Card Association (NBPCA), the leading nonprofit, inter-industry trade organization for network branded prepaid cards. In 2005, Mr. Aggarwal co-founded Prepaid Media, a trade media company which owns and operates Paybefore.. From 2006 to 2008, Mr. Aggarwal served as Chief Executive Officer of Prepaid Media, which also created the Prepaid Card Expo, and previously was Chief Executive Officer and a director of TSYS Prepaid, and also co-founded Clarity Payment Solutions, a leading venture capital-backed prepaid card processor, for which he served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer from inception in 1999 until 2004.

 

Farhan Ahmad, General Manager Prepaid & Director of Emerging Payments, Discover Network
Farhan Ahmad is the General Manager of Prepaid and Director of Emerging Payments for Discover Network, a business unit of Discover Financial Services.  In this position, he oversees all facets of Discover Network’s prepaid business including product development, sales, marketing and relationship management.  Mr. Ahmad also is responsible for developing and managing Discover Network’s strategy for emerging payments and initiatives, including contactless (RFID/NFC) payments and mobile payments and services.

Mr. Ahmad holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania.


Carl M. AnsleyCarl M. Ansley, Founder and President, TxVia
Carl M. Ansley is a prepaid technology veteran. He is the Founder, President and a director of TxVia, a technology company that is revolutionizing prepaid card processing. From 2004 to 2006, Mr. Ansley served as Chief Information Officer of TSYS Prepaid, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of TSYS (NYSE: TSS). Previously, from 2000 to 2004, he worked as Chief Technology Officer at Clarity Payment Solutions (Clarity), a leading venture capital- backed prepaid card processor. Clarity was sold to TSYS in August 2004 for $53 million. Mr. Ansley co-founded Cave Rock Software, Ltd., a leading software development and Internet services company based in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Hemant BaijalHemant Baijal, Vice President, Public Sector Prepaid, MasterCard Worldwide
Hemant Baijal is Vice President, Public Sector Prepaid, at MasterCard Worldwide. He has global responsibility for working with central and local governments, card issuers and other financial institutions to develop and implement government prepaid programs. Hemant has over 15 years of experience in the financial sector, having worked at Bank One and Citibank prior to joining MasterCard. He earned graduate degrees in Economics from George Washington University in Washington D.C. and George Mason University in Fairfax, VA.

John Barbella

John Barbella, Senior Vice President, THE BANCORP BANK PAYMENT SOLUTIONS
John Barbella is Senior Vice President within the Payment Solutions Group. Based in Minneapolis, he is a veteran in the financial industry with more than 16 years of experience in the payments industry. In his role with The Bancorp Bank, Barbella is responsible for developing and driving the prepaid card business strategy for emerging markets and product development within the organization.
In recent years, Barbella has focused heavily on the prepaid card market. He has partnered with industry leaders to develop payment solutions in the prepaid arena to meet the growing needs of employers and consumers in this fledgling industry.
Prior to joining The Bancorp Bank, Barbella served in a variety of leadership positions in sales, marketing and business development with Deluxe Corporation.
Barbella holds a bachelor’s degree in real estate and a master’s degree in management from Penn State University.


 

Marilyn Barker, Contributing Editor, NBPCA Government Update
Ms. Barker is a member of the Financial Institutions Client Service s   Group. She focuses her practice expertise on counseling financial services companies on federal and state anti-money laundering and Bank Secrecy Act regulatory and compliance matters, including the USA PATRIOT Act amendments, as well as those involving payments system law such as stored value, prepaid cards, money transmission and other electronic payments issues.  Ms. Barker is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) and member of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists.

Prior to joining the firm, she worked at the Department of the Treasury, Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). During her tenure at FinCEN, she served as a  P roject  O fficer in the Office of Regulatory Policy of the Regulatory Policy and Programs Division, and as a team leader for money services businesses and stored value issues. In that capacity, Ms. Barker provided advice, guidance and developed policy for the administration of the Bank Secrecy Act  and its  implementing  regulations .She frequently lectured to foreign delegations from Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America on the U.S. regulation of money services businesses and informal value transfer systems from an anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing perspective. Ms. Barker also served as a U.S. delegate to the Financial Action Task Force, an international body that develops and promotes policies designed to combat money laundering and terrorist financing, and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation’s Counter-Terrorism Financing Workshop in Melbourne, Australia.
Ms. Barker previously served as Senior Counsel for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and as an attorney with the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System.  In her role as an attorney at the Board, she advised on civil administrative enforcement matters relating to regulatory and supervisory compliance for bank holding companies, state member banks and foreign banks.  Ms. Barker also was an associate at a Los Angeles firm, focusing on various banking, corporate and bankruptcy issues.


Secil BaysalSecil Baysal, Vice President, Green Dot Network
Secil Baysal is Vice President of the Green Dot Network, America’s leading prepaid reload and cash acceptance network.  In that role, he oversees partnerships with banks, program managers, billers and merchants utilizing the Green Dot Network to access cash-based consumers.  Secil also leads the strategy to expand the Green Dot Network’s capabilities into areas as diverse as bill payment, online purchases and deposit taking.  Prior to joining Green Dot Corporation, Secil served as chief of staff to the president at Capital One and then ran their emerging credit business.  He was also a consultant at McKinsey & Company in Europe.  Secil holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree from Bosphorus University in Turkey.

Mike Blandina

Mike Blandina, Chief Technology Officer, BLACKHAWK NETWORK
Mike Blandina is the Chief Technology Officer at Blackhawk Network. He is responsible for all technology vision and direction for Blackhawk and leading the day to day technology development and operations for the company.  Mike has spent the last 18 years in the credit card and prepaid industry working with companies like Citibank, American Express and First Data.


Kevin L. BlankKevin L. Blank, Executive Vice President Sales, Marketing, and Account Management, Evolution Benefits
As EVP at Evolution Benefits, Kevin manages the customer acquisition and assures that the company meets customer needs. Kevin has over 25 years’ experience in leadership roles for a range of health care-related businesses, including managed care, disease management, venture capital, practice management, and information technology. Most recently, Kevin was the president and COO of BenefitPoint, Inc., an employee benefits technology firm. Prior to that, he was managing director of Internet HealthCare Group, a health care IT-focused venture capital firm. Kevin also served as president and CEO of Women's Health Connecticut and as a senior executive at Value Health and MediQual Systems.  He holds a B.A and a M.P.H., both from Boston University.  

Marilyn BochicchioMarilyn Bochicchio, CEO of Prepaid Media LLC (d/b/a Paybefore),
Marilyn has more than 30 year's experience in electronic payments. As Paybefore CEO and in her prior position as president and executive director of the Network Branded Prepaid Card Association (NBPCA), a non-profit trade group that promotes the success of prepaid products, she is a prolific author of articles about prepaid topics. She also is a frequent speaker on prepaid topics in the U.S. and Europe. Prior to the NBPCA, Bochicchio ran her own consulting business, focused on electronic payments issues. She began her professional career at Midlantic National Bank (now PNC), the largest bank in New Jersey at the time, where she was the project manager for the bank's fledgling ATM and debit card program. Bochicchio holds an MBA from the Stern School of Business at NYU and is a cum laude graduate, in English and economics, from Bucknell University, Lewisburg, PA. Her husband Paul is an attorney for Bank of America. They have three daughters.

Luc BondarLuc Bondar, Carlson Marketing
Luc Bondar is responsible for leading the global Loyalty Marketing team to design and implement powerful customer loyalty programs that recognize valuable customers and reward their loyal behavior. Most recently, Luc was Planning & Business Development Director, Carlson Marketing Asia Pacific. Luc joined Carlson Marketing in 1999 working in the UK and Australia, with a brief, two-year stint at Leo Burnett as Account Director. He successfully managed a portfolio of clients that included BATA, Toyota, Eurotunnel and Budget Rent-a-Car, as well as executing consulting assignments for Visa International, Woolworths and Westfield.

Thomas Boucher

Thomas Boucher, Founding Member and Co-President,  RGCA and Senior Program Manager, Best Buy Gift Card Program
Thomas Boucher is a founding member and Co-President of the RGCA. Tom is currently the Sr. Program Manager for the Best Buy Gift card program. Tom has headed the marketing and financial responsibilities of this program for the last 4 years that includes over 1000 BBY US based locations. 3rd party programs, B2B and BBY.COM.

Tom has been with BBY for over 8 years. He spent 2 years as merchant in the Movies category, 2 years as a project manager for key POS systems and the last 4 years with the Gift Card Program. He graduated from the University of North Dakota (Minot) with Degrees in Marketing and Management. Prior to Best Buy, he worked for Herberger’s for almost 10 years holding various merchant roles.


Ed BoyleEd Boyle, VP of Business Development, American Express
As head of business development for American Express Global Prepaid, Ed Boyle is responsible for Sales, Implementations and Product Management of their Prepaid Card business.  In his 15 years with American Express, he has held various Sales, Marketing and Product Development roles in their Consumer Card,
Business Travel and Corporate Card businesses.   He joined the Prepaid Card group in 2003 and lead the development of companies Gift Card distribution network across retail, mall and bank channels where they now have over 70,000 selling locations.

Lori Breitzke

Lori Breitzke, CEO, E&S Consulting, LLC
Lori Breitzke is an expert in merchant acquiring, point-of-sale and prepaid card issuing of gift, payroll and general purpose reloadable cards.  Her diverse background includes several leading transaction processing companies such as VeriFone, Ingenico, RBS Lynk and First Data. Lori’s expertise includes marketing & communications, web layout design, competitive research, prepaid program management, POS product management and partner recommendations.  Lori is a frequent trade show and conference speaker and contributes to a number of industry publications.   Lori is the vice-chair of the ETA Education Committee, a member of the Green Sheet Prepaid and Prepaid Press Advisory Boards and participating member of the ATMIA Electronic Payments Forum.  Lori serves as an associate of The Strawhecker Group and owns her own consulting firm, E&S Consulting, LLC.


Chris BrittChris Britt, Chief Product Officer, Green Dot Corporation
As Chief Product Officer for Green Dot Corporation, Chris Britt is responsible for the product strategy, development and management of all Green Dot consumer-facing products and services, including prepaid debit cards, credit cards, gift cards and Green Dot Network cash acceptance. Before joining Green Dot, Britt managed Visa’s General Purpose Prepaid Card product and led the team that successfully grew it to become Visa’s largest prepaid product line.  Previously, Chris held management positions at a number of other highly successful companies, including leadership of the Financial Services division at Comscore and Vice President of Business Development at Engage, a majority-owned subsidiary of CMGi.  

Lee BrittonLee Britton, CEO, Altair Financial Services International plc
Lee Britton is CEO of Altair Financial Services International Plc. Lee has been involved in the card acquiring and card issuing business, both in Europe and the USA since 1999. Lee was Business Development Director for Symmetrex Inc, a US based card issuing processor for VISA, MasterCard® and STAR™. Previously he was director of a US public company providing on-line payment processing services for merchants and banks globally.

Jason Brooks

Jason Brooks, Vice President, Emerging Prepaid Products, MetaPayment Systems
Jason Brooks is Vice President of Prepaid Product Development for Payment Systems.   Jason has been active in prepaid since 2002 when he launched a payroll card company which was sold to ITC Financial Services (now part of InComm).  He has wide ranging experience in retail delivery of financial services including gift, GPR, remittance and bill payment as well as specialty applications.  Jason served as a Business Development Peace Corps Volunteer in Uzbekistan from 1997-1999.


Todd J. BrockmanTodd J. Brockman, President, Galileo Processing, Inc.
Todd Brockman is the President of Galileo Processing, Inc., responsible for strategy, strategic partnerships, and growth initiatives. Previously, Brockman was the Global Head of Prepaid for Visa, Inc., responsible for the strategy, development and management of all aspects of Visa’s prepaid product platform.  Prior to this, Brockman served as senior vice president, prepaid products, for Visa U.S.A, and  led a broad team focused on driving member, merchant and cardholder value across three core channels -- retail/in-branch sales, employee benefits and underserved consumers.  Brockman also held management roles in marketing business affairs and business development for Visa U.S.A. Prior to rejoining Visa U.S.A. in 2001, Brockman served as the acting vice president of marketing for Webvan.com, the online grocery store that explored the delivery of goods directly to consumers. Brockman earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley and a Master of Business Administration from the University of California, Davis Graduate School of Management.

Patrick BrownPatrick Brown, EVP-Emerging Markets, netSpend
Patrick Brown has worked in the payments industry for the past 15 years. In 2000, Patrick founded a card-based money transmitter company called Veloz that was acquired by Euronet in 2005. Patrick continued to run the business until the end of 2007 when he left Euronet to launch a cross-border bill-pay company called Processa which was sold to netSpend in late 2008. Patrick is also the Honorary Vice Consul of the Mexican Consulate in Charlotte, NC.

Scott Burslem

Scott Burslem, Other Income Manager, TravelCenters of America
Scott is the Other Income Manager for TravelCenters of America.  He currently manages many categories that include ATMs, game rooms, laundry rooms, and prepaid products.  He has been managing prepaid programs for over five years.  He has an undergraduate degree in accounting as well as a MBA.  He has an accounting background and transitioned to operations 6 years ago.  TA’s travel centers operate under the “TravelCenters of America”, “TA” and “Petro” brand names and offer diesel and gasoline fueling services, restaurants, truck repair facilities, stores and other services. TA’s nationwide business includes travel centers located in 41 U.S. states and Canada.


Elizabeth BuseElizabeth Buse, Global Head of Product, Visa Inc.
Elizabeth Buse is the global head of product for Visa Inc., with responsibility for all aspects of product strategy and development in consumer and business products, as well as platform development and commercial information management.  She is also accountable for the global interoperability of Visa’s products and services; developing new channel solutions and technology support; building alliances and solutions for new products, technologies, platforms and market segment penetration; and product analytics. Previously, Buse was executive vice president of product development and management for Visa U.S.A., where she was responsible for the product development cycle — research, product innovation, new product development and product deployment — and for managing Visa U.S.A.’s consumer, small business and commercial products.

Kathleen CalliganKathleen Calligan, CEO, Better Business Bureau of Middle Tennessee, Inc.
Kathleen’s career with the Better Business Bureau spans over three decades. In 1975 she began as a community volunteer with BBB Nashville. She was so fascinated with BBB’s pro-active mission to deliver customers to business they can trust that she joined the BBB staff as Director of Services in 1976. From 1985 to 1995 she served as CEO of the Better Business Bureau of North Alabama in Huntsville. In 1996 she returned to Nashville as CEO of the Better Business Bureau Middle Tennessee. During the past 12 years the BBB has expanded branch offices to Murfreesboro, Clarksville, Cookeville, Franklin and Columbia. Kathleen is a certified association executive and has received 22 Outstanding Leadership Awards from the Council of Better Business Bureaus, Arlington, VA.

John CasanovaJohn Casanova, Partner, Sidley Austin LLP
John Casanova is a partner in the London office of Sidley Austin LLP. He advises clients on a wide variety of English, EU and US financial services regulatory matters. John works regularly with banks, investment firms, payment systems, investment managers and advisors and other financial intermediaries in the UK, the US and Europe. He is an editor of E-Finance and Payments Law and Policy. He has been a contributor to the Review of Banking and Financial Services and the Journal of International Banking Law.  He is a contributing editor for Electronic Money and Payment Systems to Butterworths Financial Regulation Service. John is a member of the District of Columbia bar and an English-qualified solicitor.

Helen ChildHelen Child, Chief Executive, G-T-P Group Ltd.
Helen Child is Chief Executive of G-T-P Group Ltd, an innovative UK-based card issuer and processor, and has been the driving force behind the company from its inception. With over seven years card experience with G-T-P and a history with multi-national telecoms companies including Vodafone Group and as Managing Director of an IT systems integrator, Helen’s broad multi-sector experience equips her well to lead the company. Helen was a founding member of the Prepaid International Forum and G-T-P was one of the first three companies in Europe to receive PIF Accreditation. Helen is heavily involved in shaping the future of the UK prepaid industry and G-T-P is an active member of the UK Gift Card & Voucher Association. With G-T-P’s pan-European Client base, Helen is the face behind a growing number of Prepaid programmes including the Empire Cinemas Film Card and gift cards for the AA Driving School, Crabtree and Evelyn, PizzaExpress and Virgin Experience Days.

Alpesh Chokshi

Alpesh Chokshi, President, Global Prepaid American Express Company
Alpesh Chokshi is President of the Global Prepaid business. In this role, Mr. Chokshi is responsible for all prepaid products, and is leading the reinvention of the prepaid business, including the Company’s expansion into international markets.   

Global Prepaid includes the 118 year-old American Express Travelers Cheques business, the world’s oldest and most popular prepaid product, and the American Express Gift Card.  In 2008, the Gift Card franchise continued its successful growth trajectory, with record sales in excess of $1 billion. American Express is the world’s largest issuer of open-loop prepaid gift cards.

Mr. Chokshi is also responsible for the American Express relationship with American Express Incentive Services, a joint venture between American Express and Maritz Inc. AEIS is a leader in the prepaid corporate incentives market.  

As a member of the American Express Global Management Team, Mr. Chokshi plays an active role in shaping the Company’s overall strategic direction.   


Miguel Cintron

Miguel Cintron. Vice President, Head of Prepaid Product Management, Latin America and the Caribbean, MasterCard Worldwide
Miguel works with issuers, processors and program managers to enhance infrastructure capabilities that support prepaid programs. Miguel previously worked in the Debit and Prepaid division of Bank of America as Senior Vice President and member of the Debit leadership team. He earned a B.S. from the US Naval Academy (Annapolis) and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.


 

Daniel Cohen, Director, Healthcare Solutions, MasterCard Worldwide
Daniel Cohen is part of The Healthcare Solutions team at MasterCard Worldwide.  In this role, he leads initiatives to address the payment needs of different healthcare markets around the world and works with financial institutions, health plans, third parties and technology providers to develop solutions and strategies for the industry.

Mr. Cohen holds an MA from Columbia University and a BA from The University of Wisconsin-Madison. 


Tim Coltrell

Tim Coltrell, Chief Executive Officer, AccountNow
The visionary leader of AccountNow with more than 22 years of financial services industry experience, Tim Coltrell has served as the Company’s CEO since its inception in 2004. During his tenure, Tim raised three rounds of capital totaling $21 million, while establishing the company as one of the premier providers of financial services to good people who have been turned away by traditional banking institutions.
Prior to starting AccountNow, Tim was one of the founders of the online credit card pioneer, NextCard. Serving as Chief Operations Officer, Tim scaled operations to support company growth from start-up to over 1,200 employees in three years.
Tim also was President and CEO of GE Capital Consumer Card Company, where he headed operations for Consumer Financial Services, a credit card division of GE Capital. Prior to joining GE, Tim held numerous roles across the operations group at Providian. He began his career at Citicorp as a manager of a collections group.
Tim has a BA in Social Ecology and an MBA with an emphasis in Technology and Entrepreneurship from the University of California, Irvine.


Mick Conlin

Mick Conlin, Senior Vice President, Agent Products, MetaPayment Systems
Mick Conlin, senior vice president, Agent Products, manages payment solutions targeting financial institutions, including the SimplexusTM suite of products. He has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, focusing on the prepaid industry since 1999. Conlin joined Meta in 2004 from Bank One/Chase. He previously served in numerous banking, card industry and sales-related capacities. Conlin has appeared in numerous trade publications and has spoken at a number of prepaid industry gatherings.


Elisa Corridore

Elisa Corridore, Vice President, Global Product Development, MasterCard Worldwide
Elisa Corridore is Vice President, Global Product Development, at MasterCard Worldwide, responsible for managing and developing commercial prepaid card applications. Elisa has over 25 years of experience in B2B product development, account management and sales in financial services and telecommunications. She has worked extensively with such companies as IBM, Xerox, Kodak, Citibank and Viacom in the design, development and application of systems and programs. She earned an MBA from the University of Rochester, Simon School.


Robert CourtneidgeRobert Courtneidge, Global Head – Cards and Payments, Salans
Robert Courtneidge, Global Head of Cards & Payment at Salans, is co-founder of the Prepaid International Forum.  He has over 18 years’ experience in the cards and payment systems arena and covers all aspects of consumer finance and the technology behind it.  He has great knowledge of consumer protection, data protection, banking regulation and compliance.  Robert is recognised as one of the top industry specialists in the e-money arena.  He advises leading financial institutions and technology providers in addition to acting on behalf of companies like PPT, APS, Tuxedo, Altair and M-Cubed.

Tony Craddock

Tony Craddock, CEO and Founder, Giftex Prepay
Tony Craddock is the CEO and Founder of Giftex Prepay, the world’s only independent provider of intelligence in gift and prepay cards.
Tony holds a Management Science Degree from UMIST, UK, and is known for helping companies across Europe to make more money from customers. These have included banks, mobile telcos, pre-paid card distributors, media companies and retailers. Tony's experience has embraced customer magazines, direct marketing, customer loyalty, and customer relationship management. Giftex Prepay is his fifth business.
Tony has had years of experience in the gift and prepay industry and is the leading expert outside the US in gift and stored value and has a broad network of contacts around the world. His vision for gift and prepay cards is that they not only generate significant incremental margin for retailers, but also supplement and then replace traditional loyalty card programmes, becoming a centrepiece in retailers’ sales and marketing strategies.


Frank Tom CreganFrank Tom Cregan, Executive Vice President and General Manager. netSpend
Tom Cregan is responsible for NetSpend's check cashing, payday loan, and general retail channels.  In this role, he is leading more than sixty team members to expand NetSpend's core business.  Cregan joins NetSpend from PaySpot, Inc., a subsidiary of Euronet Worldwide, where he served as President.  Prior to his role with PaySpot, Cregan was Chief Executive Officer of e-pay Australia and New Zealand, a company that Cregan set up and sold to Euronet Worldwide in 2003.

Paul Daffin

Paul Daffin, Executive Vice President & CIO. TSYS Prepaid Services
Mr. Daffin brings more than 12 years of Information Technology experience across multiple platforms and disciplines to the TSYS leadership team. Prior to overseeing the TSYS Prepaid Services operations team, Mr. Daffin served as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer for TSYS Loyalty and Interim Group Executive and Senior Director for TSYS iSolutions. In a continued effort by TSYS to centralize its lines of business and operations, Mr. Daffin will expand his role as EVP to manage the loyalty and prepaid operations units. His strong background in enterprise systems, and his expertise in strategic business development, will help lead the technical innovation and management efforts at TSYS. Mr. Daffin will continue to work closely with clients to deliver the best functionality with unwavering quality. His responsibilities are focused in the areas of platform delivery enhancement, operational management and business and IT strategy.

While serving as EVP and CIO for TSYS Loyalty, Mr. Daffin was instrumental in driving the business strategy development with TSYS’ business partners, aligning TSYS' IT organization to its business strategy and enabling improved execution on business priorities. He also worked on the system architecture to enhance the performance and scalability of the loyalty platform. As Interim Group Executive and Senior Director for TSYS iSolutions, he led the business to business product strategy for their large commercial and small business markets.

James Dean

James Dean, VP, Robert E. Nolan Company

Jim Dean is a Vice President of the Robert E. Nolan Company and a member of the firm's Executive team. Stephen Diamond

Stephen Diamond, Vice President, Client Account Management, i2c Inc.
Stephen Diamond has 30 years of experience in the payments industry, with eight years of prepaid experience and a deep background in business and product development, strategic marketing, and risk management. Stephen was a leader in the development of the prepaid category in the U.S. as a senior business leader of prepaid products at Visa Inc. Among his many accomplishments during his 12-year tenure at Visa, Stephen launched the Visa teen and gift card products, expanded gift-card distribution to more than 120,000 branch and retail locations, worked with financial institutions to develop product concepts and service offerings, with one idea resulting in the Visa Buxx card, and managed the personalized Visa Rewards program.


Neil Dugan

Neil Dugan, Vice President, Prepaid Product, Americas, MasterCard Worldwide
Neil is responsible for leading MasterCard's prepaid activities across the Americas. He oversees the local alignment of prepaid product development, product management and implementation strategy within the region. An experienced business manager, Neil has over 20 years of experience in financial services, most recently as a Product Executive at JPMorganChase managing its public sector prepaid card business. Previously, Neil managed a prepaid product development team at Citigroup.

Brian Dunne is Managing Director of Action Solutions; one of the UK’s leading stored value and gifting consultancies.

Brian is Chartered Management Accountant, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). Brian has worked with many organisations including large national and international companies such as Boots, Target, Asda and The Trafford Centre, helping them understand the complexity of the gift card market and evaluate the potential incremental sales to their business, typically resulting in an informed and strategic entrance into the market giving phenomenal returns. Brian has helped many organisations, such as Starbucks, to successfully enter the market on many different levels from advising on the most relevant open loop schemes to developing companies own gift card product to developing the full UK infrastructure for the Post Office Ltd’s voucher and gift card range.

As a veteran and a well known figure in the industry, Brian has spoken at many events both in the UK and the States most recently at the Prepaid Conference and Expo. In addition to success with Action Solutions, Brian has a wealth of experience gained in the restaurant and hotel industry as a Director with Whitbread, most recently Managing Director of Whitbread Leisure Vouchers. A business that at is peak turned over in excess of £21.5 million and delivered £5.8 million in incremental profit to Whitbread PLC.

Brian is also a fellow of the Institute of Hospitality providing him with key insights into the restaurant and hospitality industry and his experience has given him the opportunity to build an unrivalled and extensive network of contacts and channels in this market.


Vicente Echeveste

Vicente Echeveste, Head of Consumer Products, Latin America and the Caribbean Region, Visa Inc.
Vicente Echeveste is head of consumer products for Visa Inc., Latin America and the Caribbean Region (LAC), responsible for leading this business unit since 2003.

Vicente Echeveste joined Visa in 2000, as vice president of Deposit Access products.

Before joining Visa, he worked in the banking industry in Banco Internacional S.A., presently known as HSBC Mexico, where he was responsible for product development and marketing, as well as technology and operations for credit and debit cards.

Previously, Mr. Echeveste worked in the retail industry in Comercial Mexicana, where he was responsible in processes, promotions and treasury. He began his professional career in the manufacturing sector, mainly overseeing logistics and process engineering.

Vicente Echeveste counts for more than 20 years of experience and graduated as an industrial engineer from Tec de Monterrey University. He obtained a master of business administration from the Instituto Panamericano de Alta Direccion in Mexico. 


 Nathan Ehrlich, Senior Manager, Gift Card Operations, THE HOME DEPOT
Nathan Ehrlich is Senior Manager of Gift Card Operations for The Home Depot.  In this role Nathan is responsible for the production, distribution and activation of all Home Depot gift cards in the U.S. and Canada.  In addition to managing the day-to-day activities of the gift card team Nathan seeks out and implements new opportunities to enhance the Home Depot customers’ gift card experience.  As a thirteen year veteran with The Home Depot Nathan has served in a variety of roles beginning in store management and then working in the marketing, licensing and sales promotion departments before joining the gift card team over three years ago.

Brad Fauss serves as senior vice president of general counsel for Springbok Services. Prior to joining the company, Brad was senior vice president of Legal, Risk and Compliance for TSYS Prepaid, Inc. He also served as division general counsel for Global Payments Inc. Before entering the world of electronic transaction processing, Brad practiced law with Alston & Bird, LLP and with Parker, Poe, Adams, and Bernstein, LLC. Brad received his JD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law and his bachelor’s degree in finance from Florida State University.

R. David Fehrman has been with MT&L since 2002 and is responsible for direct sales, sales development, marketing, promotional programs, and partnering alliances. With nineteen years experience in the prepaid industry, Fehrman focuses on developing products and marketing programs for clients to increase sales and retain customers.

Prior to working with MT&L, Fehrman spent three years as President, RDF Consulting, serving clients in the prepaid industry, and ten years as Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Prepaid Fulfillment Services Group, for Standard Register Company. He also held positions as Director of Secure Documents, New York Regional Sales Manager, and District Sales Manager in Cincinnati for Standard Register.

Fehrman has served on the Board of Directors for Xplor International, helping to develop security features for secure documents and gift cards. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance from the University of Akron.

Joel Feinberg is a partner in the D.C. office of Sidley Austin LLP.  He works extensively with banks, payment networks and others regarding regulatory and policy matters associated with the development of new and novel prepaid card programs.  Mr. Feinberg also has extensive experience negotiating prepaid card agreements for banks, retailers and other industry participants.  Additionally, Mr. Feinberg advises financial institutions and financial institution investors in regulatory and transactional matters relating to the chartering and operation of banks and the structuring of bank investments, mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and other business arrangements.

Martin Ferenczi became Managing Director – Americas for the Card Systems Division of Oberthur Technologies in February 2007. Ferenczi was CFO of Oberthur Technologies (holding company), prior to his current role. Tom Firnhaber is responsible for enterprise-wide compliance with state, federal and association regulations and requirements, including the management of internal and external audits and coordination of compliance activities with NetSpend partners and distributors.  He joined NetSpend from the U.S. Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), where he was Senior Regulatory Compliance Policy Advisor.  He has over 20 years experience in banking and financial services.

Paulo Frossard is an Executive Director of CBSS(Companhia Brasileira de Soluções e Serviços), Issuer of Visa Vale pre-paid vouchers cards in Brazil. He is responsible for the Sales, Marketing and Product business units. He brings over 18 years of financial services experience to the company. Previously, Frossard served as Vice President for Regional Key Accounts to Latin America at MasterCard, managing all the relationship with important key accounts, as Banco Itaú and Caixa Economica Federal. At MasterCard, Frossard was also responsible for the Debit strategy. Prior to joining MasterCard, at GE Capital, Frossard managed the private label portfolio migration to credit card. Previously, Frossard served as an Executive of Bank Boston, at the Credit Card business Unit and also at the Retail Banking business unit, where he managed some Products and Services, as the Visa Travel Money pre-paid card.

Jenny GehrJenny Gehr, Vice President Payment Solutions Group, Metavante Corporation
Jenny is responsible for the Prepaid Solutions at Metavante. As the Business manager for branded prepaid solutions, Jenny has a wide experience in prepaid products and services including developing and supporting solutions for gift, payroll, disbursement, travel, teen, corporate and mall card products. She has been with Metavante for 17 years and has been focused in the payments business for the last 8 years. Before assuming her current role, she held a variety of positions within the Metavante Payment Solutions Group, including prepaid and debit development manager, prepaid and debit operations manager. Jenny also has management experience in Metavante’s licensed software products and core banking products.  

Gaetano GiannettoGaetano Giannetto, CEP, Epipoli spa
Gaetano Giannetto is founder and president of Epipoli, one of the leading European relationship marketing companies focused on Customer Value Management, Advanced Modeling and Gift Cards. Giannetto studied as an Artillery Officer and began his career at Procter & Gamble and subsequently Pernod Ricard. In 1988 he founded the European offices and started the operations for Logistics Data Systems, a company specialised in merchandising, marketing and category management solutions for retailers and manufacturers, sold in 1991 to ACNielsen. In this new role, Giannetto served as European Director at Logistics Data Systems and in 1994 he was appointed Managing Partner at ACNielsen International, in charge for the Retailing Industry. In 1996 he accepted the position of Executive Director at ACNielsen Italy and Vice President Industry Food & Retailing EMEA - Europe, Middle East and Africa. From 1998 to 2000 he has been the Vice President at NCR Corporation.

John Goodale

John Goodale, Director, Card Management Solutions, TSYS Europe
John Goodale is Director, Card Management Solutions with TSYS Europe, including the responsibility for prepaid business expansion. He has a strong background in payment cards across both banking and retail sectors. Within prepaid John was involved in the European electronic purse programs in the mid-nineties and also the development of mass transit contactless electronic ticketing.

On joining TSYS in 2002, John brought the TSYS retail gift card proposition into Europe and quickly followed this up with the development of TSYS Europe's network branded prepaid cards capability. In working with some of the largest prepaid programmes across Europe, Asia and North America, John has gained an invaluable insight into how the experiences from each of these markets can be applied for the benefit of issuers across the world.

Prior to joining TSYS John's career was in management consulting, most recently with KPMG and before that with DMR.

John is a Director of the Prepaid International Forum working as a member of the steering committee and chair of the Business Models Working Group.


David Gribble

David brings to his role over 18 years of experience with ADP. During his tenure, David has held leadership positions in application and product development for several of ADP's core products including Tax Processing, Unemployment Compensation and web-based security and file management systems. In addition, as Director of Product Development, David oversaw the development and deployment of ADP’s client self-service payroll debit card web site totalpaycard.adp.com.

David is now responsible for operational oversight of ADP's TotalPay Card product, a Visa-branded prepaid debit card that is an integral part of ADP’s payroll solutions. With TotalPay Card, an employee’s pay is automatically available on the card every payday. The TotalPay Card can be used at 23 million places where Visa debit is accepted and at over 700,000 ATMs.

Cherie Hamblin is Chief Compliance Officer at Payoneer, Inc, a New York-based company that provides global payout solutions using prepaid MasterCard® cards. She oversees risk and compliance efforts related to state, federal and international regulatory requirements and card network rules. Previously, she was Chief Compliance Officer for  the prepaid card-based remittance company, iKobo, Inc, and was a key member of the management team of Clarity Payment Solutions, Inc., a leader in prepaid payments processing that was acquired by TSYS (NYSE: TSS). Stefan Happ

AS General Manager, Stefan has overall responsibility for the American Express US Prepaid business.
Since joining American Express in 1997, Stefan has held a variety of positions in card operations, reengineering, corporate services product development, marketing, and general management.
Most recently, while based in London, he was responsible for the Travelers Cheque and Prepaid Services business in Europe.  As a result of his track record of developing successful, innovative partnerships and business models, he was appointed to his current position in 2006.

Prior to his career with American Express, which commenced in 1997, Stefan spent eight years with British Airways. He started as a graduate trainee and then progressed through a variety of marketing, operations and sales functions in the UK, continental Europe and Russia.  He holds BA from University College, London and an MBA from Lancaster Management School and the London Business School.

 

Ryan Harris, SVP Business Development, THE BANCORP BANK
Ryan Harris is the Senior Vice President of Business Development within the Payment Solutions Group. He is responsible for developing new business relationships with prepaid card marketers/program managers, processors and other strategic partners in the prepaid card marketplace.
Harris began his career with The Bancorp Bank within the Credit Card Operations division in early 1999 and moved to the Payment Solutions Group division in March 2003. Prior to joining The Bancorp Bank, Harris worked for Citibank in their credit card division.

Martin Hood

Martin Hood, Vice President, Partnership Sales, American Express Incentive Services
As vice president, partnership sales, Martin Hood is responsible for the strategy and new business development of both the reseller group and AEIS parent, American Express. The reseller group focuses on serving a range of distribution partners in the performance improvement, promotional, financial services, advertising and loyalty sectors. AEIS serves American Express as a direct customer, as well as a provider of value added solutions and services for its own corporate and consumer incentives.

Prior to his current position, Hood launched AEIS' consumer promotions group where he was responsible for the overall strategic direction and planning for the organization's entry into the consumer promotion market. Concentrating on rebate and loyalty programs, Hood led the team to target brands and original equipment manufacturers directly, in addition to working with agencies. Hood also established and led AEIS' merchant partnership and channel sales teams that acquired and managed a network of over 200 merchant and 80 authorized distributor accounts.

Hood came to AEIS from American Express, where he began his career as a territory manager in Cincinnati, later rising to account executive and senior manager in New York City, and ultimately director for new business partnerships for American Express Establishment Services. While there, Hood signed 35 national merchant partnerships that resulted in incremental charge volume totaling more than $1 billion and developed notable partnerships with Wal-Mart, Sprint PCS, Elder Beerman Department Stores and Bob Evans Restaurants.


Daniel Horne

Daniel Horne, Professor, Providence College
Known as the Gift Card Guru, Dan Horne is the worldʼs leading expert on consumer purchase and use of gift cards, an area he has studied since 1992.  Horne is an Associate Professor in the Department of Marketing at Providence College in Rhode Island, USA, where he teaches Consumer Behavior and is research coordinator for the School of Business. Horne holds an undergraduate degree in International Economics and a Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Michigan.  His doctoral dissertation on consumersʼ choice processes in the selection of gifts was published in 1993.
Following his doctoral work, he began a series of large-scale research projects investigating the consumer purchase and usage of gift certificates and cards as well as the role these products play as rewards, incentives, and promotions. His work has been published in both academic and practitioner journals and in 2005 he co-authored with Tony Craddock, the European Guide to Gift and Stored Value.  In addition, his ongoing industry research reports are published regularly in Giftex Prepayʼs Global Prepay Intelligence.

For the last fifteen years he has worked as a researcher, analyst and advisor on gift certificates/cards for retailers, financial services companies and suppliers in North America, Europe and Australasia. He provides expert commentary on retailer performance to the financial markets, and to the print and electronic media.  He has served as an adviser to governmental authorities in the US and Canada on issues surrounding the sale and purchase of gift cards. He is a member of the Board of Directors of IncentOne and a Non-Executive Director of Giftex Ltd.

Ken Howes is a Director of EDC and has overall responsibility for the London office. Before joining the firm in 1996 Ken spent 26 years with Midland/HSBC Bank where he held a range of executive management positions including Head of Group Cards, Electronic Banking Director and Head of Payments Strategy and Emerging Markets. Ken, who has had broad experience in retail banking, payments and electronic commerce, played a major part in the formation and development of the Switch Debit Card scheme and has been closely involved in other major developments in the global cards business. As a consultant, Ken has led high profile and leading edge assignments for blue chip organizations in many countries. These include product, competitive, and market entry strategies and due diligence projects in payments, financial services and related sectors. Craig Keohan is considered a pioneer in the consumer-driven health care community. He has more than 24 years of professional leadership experience, with a focus in health care and banking. In 1997, Craig saw the future of consumer-driven health care and established the organization that would eventually be known as First Horizon Msaver, Inc. Since then, he has guided Msaver to become one of the leading administrators of consumer-driven financial products.
Craig has received numerous accolades for his expertise and many contributions to the consumer driven health care industry. In 2007, he was awarded the CDHC CEO Leadership Award as part of the annual CDHC Awards presented by Prepaid Media. He also serves as Chairman Emeritus of the American Bankers Association HSA Council.
In 2006, Craig was invited to the White House to attend a Health Savings Account strategy session led by President George W. Bush, and has since been asked to consult with leaders in Congress and the administration regarding consumer-driven health care issues.

 Matt Kohler, VP, Marketing, Green Dot Corporation
Matt Kohler is Vice President, Marketing at Green Dot Corporation, a leading provider of financial services for the underserved market.  In his role, Kohler and oversees all marketing activities for the Green Dot brand, including advertising, packaging, and consumer outreach.  Previously, Kohler worked in Brand Management at The Clorox Company, where he was responsible for the Company’s namesake bleach business. From 2000 to 2008, Ms. Kortlander was immersed in building the network branded prepaid card category from the ground up as a key member of the management member at WildCard Systems and subsequently eFunds Prepaid Solutions and then Fidelity Prepaid Solutions. Prior to joining WildCard Systems, Ms. Kortlander served as Senior Vice President of Strategic Marketing at Visa USA, where she was responsible for new product exploration and business intelligence.. Stuart Kiefer is responsible the strategic focus, new product development and innovation of First Data Corporation’s Loyalty Marketing Solutions.  Kiefer has more than nine years of experience in creating, launching and managing loyalty-marketing programs. Prior to his current role, Stuart managed large direct/database marketing relationships on behalf of First Data’s Donnelley Marketing Group. Before joining First Data, Kiefer spent more than seven years with America Online (AOL) developing and managing the company’s loyalty and reward programs.  Kiefer also managed joint-venture programs with the American Airlines AAdvantage program and the Upromise College Savings program. Stuart received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa.

Phil KumnickPhil Kumnick, Senior Vice President, Product and Payments Strategy TSYS Acquiring Solutions
Phil Kumnick applies his significant knowledge of international payments processing by leading TSYS Acquiring Solutions’ efforts in global acquiring expansion. He has served in several executive roles, including overseeing product and strategic management of major payment brand relationships. Prior to TSYS, Phil was vice president and chief technology officer for Bridge Trading Technology. Phil also worked for MasterCard International where he was vice president and chief settlement officer. Phil received his undergraduate and M.B.A. degrees, both in Finance, from St. Louis University.

Jean LandsverkJean Landsverk, Senior Vice President, Prepaid Services, First Data Corporation
Jean Landsverk is senior vice president of First Data’s Prepaid Division.  She currently overseas sales and customer support for the division.  Landsverk joined First Data in 2000 as senior vice president of client executive management for First Data’s top 800 customers, and vice president of sales and customer development for First Data ValueLink, the merchant-issued gift and spending card business unit within First Data. Prior to joining First Data, Landsverk provided sales leadership domestically and abroad for Fortune 500 companies in food service, retail and franchise operations including Aramark, Coca-Cola, C2 Media, and Sodexho’s Spirit Cruises.  Landsverk sits on the board for the Network Branded Prepaid Card Association (NBPCA) and  has received numerous sales and customer service awards such as Aramark’s Excellence in Sales Leadership and Coca-Cola’s Above and Beyond for Customer Service.

 

Steve Langhans, Vice President, Product Management, Fidelity National Information Services
At FIS, Steve Langhans is vice president responsible for product management and product development for the Prepaid division.  FIS Prepaid provides end-to-end prepaid card issuing processing/outsourcing for financial institutions and program managers.  Steve is a veteran of the prepaid card industry, starting in 2000 at WildCard Systems and continuing at eFunds, which was acquired by FIS in 2007.

Steve’s 20+ year background in payments extends beyond prepaid to commercial payment cards and consumer credit cards.  Prior to FIS, Steve was Vice President of Commercial Card Products for Visa International, and Vice President of Product Development for consumer credit cards for Bank of America.

Steve holds a Masters in Management Science from MIT, and a Bachelors of Arts in Economics from Swarthmore College.


Kevin LeeKevin Lee, CEO, Skylight
Kevin Lee has served as CEO of Skylight since November of 2007.  Previously, he served as President of the Payment Solutions Group at the John H. Harland Company (NYSE: JH).  At Harland, he was responsible for offering electronic payment capabilities to the 7,000+ financial institution relationships of the company.   In total, Lee has over 16 years of experience in the Financial Services Industry. 

William LongWilliam Long, Counsel, Sidley Austin LLP.
William Long is a counsel in the London office of Sidley Austin LLP.   He advises international clients on a wide variety of payment, e-money and pre-paid card matters. Mr. Long has particular experience with EU and international pre-paid card projects and is a regular speaker on payment matters. Terry Maher is a partner with the Omaha, Nebraska law firm Baird Holm LLP. For the past 24 years, Terry has counseled financial institutions and other financial services businesses with respect to their electronic banking, electronic fund transfer, credit card, debit card and prepaid card businesses. He assists financial services clients in addressing regulatory matters, including privacy and security issues, anti-money laundering compliance programs, and money service business licensing issues. Terry also serves as the general counsel to the Network Branded Prepaid Card Association, a nonprofit, inter-industry trade association that supports the growth and success of network branded prepaid cards.


Julie MazmanJulie Mazman, VP of Marketing, Green Dot Corporation
Julie Mazman, Vice President of Marketing, leads Green Dot’s marketing efforts for the Walmart MoneyCard and for Green Dot corporate marketing initiatives. Her Green Dot marketing team was awarded “Best Consumer Marketing Campaign” at the Paybefore Awards Ceremony at Prepaid Expo in 2007.  Prior to Green Dot, she was the VP of Worldwide Strategic Marketing at Warner Bros. Consumer Products division.  She honed her entrepreneurial skills as the head of marketing at Internet incubator, idealab!  She spent over 7 years with Sara Lee Corporation, in both the US and Europe, and received numerous international advertising awards for her work at Champion, the athletic apparel company.  Julie graduated from Dartmouth College with a B.A. in Economics and received her M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management where she was selected to be an Austin Scholar.

 Dale McConnell, Vice President, J.P. Morgan
Dale McConnell is a Vice President in J.P. Morgan’s Treasury Services’ Global Card business. He leads a team providing the firm’s clients with prepaid programs that include Payroll, Rebate, Employee and Consumer Incentive, and Insurance Claim cards. Dale also heads a Treasury Services unit that that helps clients in the financial services and healthcare industries realize value from their payables flow, utilizing a variety of solutions that include prepaid cards, credit cards, A/P automation and supply chain financing. For more than 20 years, Dale has helped companies gain value through automating their paper-based processes. Before joining J.P. Morgan, he held a wide variety of senior management roles at various technology firms in Boston and the Silicon Valley.

Eric McIlwain

Eric McIlwain, Vice President, Global Prepaid Product, MasterCard Worldwide
Eric oversees product management and service delivery for MasterCard prepaid products and services. He has been actively involved in the prepaid industry since 1997, when he joined Performance Systems Group, a prepaid program management company based in Atlanta, Ga., focusing on incentive and promotional programs. In 1999, Eric joined ClaimCard, Inc., which became WilldCard Systems Inc., a leading provider of prepaid processing services.

Gary co-founded WildCard Systems in 1997 and served as the company’s Chief Operating Officer and a Board Member until the company was acquired by eFunds in July 2005.  At eFunds, Gary served as Executive Vice President of Global Strategic Business Development and was part of the executive team that sold eFunds to Fidelity National Information Systems (NYSE: FIS) last September.  After joining FIS, Gary managed the company’s Government EBT (electronic benefits transfer) business, the ACH business as well as Fidelity Prepaid until May 2008 when Gary scaled-back his duties and serves as a part-time advisor on the prepaid business. Jon Palmer

Jon Palmer, President and CEO, FSV Payment Systems, Inc.
Jon Palmer was named President and CEO of Houston-based FSV Payment Systems in late 2005.  Under his leadership, the company has more than doubled revenue and expanded operations to include an in-house customer contact center in Jacksonville, FL. 
A seasoned senior executive, Jon came to FSV with over 35 years in banking and payment processing.  Prior to joining FSV, Jon served as President and CEO of Vital Processing Services, a joint venture between TSYS and Visa USA, for 5 years. During that time Vital more than doubled its revenue and profit and grew to achieve a near 25% share of the country's merchant POS electronic transaction volume. Additionally, Jon rose to Vice Chairman while at Fidelity Bank in Philadelphia and served as Chief Retail Banking and Technology Executive with Barnett bank in Jacksonville, FL. 
Jon is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Network Branded Prepaid Card Association and has served as Chairman of the Board for the HONOR ATM Network.

Anabel Perez is president and CEO of NovoPayment, Inc., Latin America’s leading prepaid program manager and service provider. Chris Reddish

Chris Reddish, Chair, Prepaid International Forum
Chris Reddish was elected Chair of the Prepaid International Forum in March 2008. Prepaid International Forum (PIF) is a not-for-profit trade association established to represent all parties participating on a commercial basis in the prepaid economy. 
It is dedicated to the progression of prepaid commerce around the world and acts as principal point of liaison between the prepaid economy and government agencies, regulators, consumer bodies and the media. It is focused on the entire prepaid world and facilitates the development of cross- industry guidelines and codes of practice.

Previously Chris was responsible for MasterCard Europe’s PrePaid activities in Europe. As such, he headed up the Prepaid cross-functional team, covering 53 country markets across the Europe region. He was responsible for the regional alignment of MasterCard’s Prepaid development, product management and implementation strategy within the region.

Previously Chris was Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director for PrePay Technologies Limited, an international market leader in the design and delivery of innovative prepaid solutions and Chris held a number of senior roles within organizations such as Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, Petroleum Geo-Services and various UK Government departments, which included international operations and project planning.

Tim Riley, Director, Business Development, Firethorn, a Qualcomm Company
Tim Riley currently serves as Director of Business Development for Firethorn, a Qualcomm company.  In this role, Riley is responsible for partner development, retail sales efforts and the overall execution of mobile commerce business plan for Firethorn’s Retail and Merchant Services division.  Prior to joining Firethorn, Riley served Senior Vice President and General Manager of BSG Clearing Solutions where he oversaw the launch of the company’s ecommerce payment platform.  Before joining BSG, Riley worked for eight years at Motorola where he had progressive business development and sales management roles.  Riley holds an MBA from Kellstadt Graduate School of Business at DePaul University.


Judith Rinearson

Judith Rinearson, Partner, Bryan Cave LLP and Chair, NBPCA GOVERNMENT RELATIONS WORKING GROUP
Judith Rinearson is an attorney who is a recognized authority in the laws of prepaid cards and stored value payment products.  As a Partner at the global law firm Bryan Cave LLP, Judith advises a range of clients (including banks, program managers, non-banks, retailers and processors) in all legal aspects of launching and managing a range of prepaid products, such as retailer gift cards, bank-issued general purpose cards and gift cards, payroll cards, reward and incentive cards, as well as bill payment services, internet, mobile and contactless payment products.  Formerly Group Counsel for American Express prepaid products, Judith helped launch some of the first open system prepaid cards issued in the US.  She has spoken numerous times about prepaid cards and electronic payments and has been widely published in this area.  She currently chairs the Government Relations Working Group for the Network Branded Prepaid Card Association, and the Payment Card Fraud Task Force for the American Bar Associations’ Cyberspace Law Committee.  Judith's many contributions to the prepaid card industry were recognized when she was presented with the Prepaid Card Industry Achievement Award at the 2008 Prepaid Expo.   Based in Bryan Cave’s New York office, Judith’s email address is judith.rinearson@bryancave.com


Carlos Rodriguez

Carlos Rodriguez, President, Blackstone
Blackstone’s President Carlos Rodriguez holds more than 22 years of professional experience both in Marketing and Operations. He began his career at one of the leading Hispanic Marketing Research Company’s in the country where he directed various projects. These projects include the managing of over 300 research personnel throughout the nation for clients such as Coca-Cola, AT&T, Univision, Telemundo, and Procter and Gamble. He then transitioned from research to advertising, working in the field for two years. This shift ultimately led to the opening of his own marketing and design firm, where he successfully acquired nationally recognized accounts including Blackstone.

Mr. Rodriguez currently oversees all aspects of operation, research and development for future projects. Jeff RossJeff Ross, Chief Compliance Officer, Green Dot Corporation
Mr. Ross recently was appointed to the newly -created position of Chief Compliance Officer for Green Dot Corporation, a leading provider of retail-based financial products and services.  In his capacity, Jeff will drive the initiative to consolidate AML compliance requirements across all Green Dot product lines, as well as identify and recommend compliance enhancement measures that protect Green Dot’s interests.  Prior to coming to Green Dot, Jeff served as the Senior Advisor (Law Enforcement) in the area of money laundering and terrorist financing in the Office of Terrorist Financing and Financial Crimes in the U.S. Department of the Treasury where he assisted in coordinating and leading Treasury’s efforts to identify and attack terrorist financing, money laundering and financial crimes from a systemic perspective.  Prior to coming with Treasury in 2002, Jeff served 19 years with the Department of Justice where he specialized in counter- money laundering policies in the Asset Forfeiture and Money Laundering Section, as well as in the Office of the Assistant Attorney General of the Criminal Division.  Post-9/11, Jeff worked with the FBI to establish its interagency counter-terrorist financing Task Force, and served as the DOJ representative.

Jon Round, senior vice president, general manager prepaid at i2c Inc., has an extensive background in prepaid and global payments. He joined i2c from Planet Payment, a multicurrency acquiring processor, where he was vice president, international business development. Round led the international business portfolio for Wildcard Systems, which was acquired by eFunds Corporation, and was responsible for the full prepaid lifecycle. He expanded the business into 36 countries supporting 190 prepaid programs. Round also launched the first Visa® prepaid card programs in Canada and the United Kingdom. Christopher Russell joined Travelex in November 2006 as Executive Vice President and Regional Divisional Director Outsourcing. Patty Saari joined Carlson Marketing in 1997 and is currently responsible for all aspects of Carlson Marketing’s market-leading prepaid card portfolio. She is a primary thought leader and strategist regarding the application and delivery of prepaid cards in the employee, channel and consumer space. Prior to her current role, Patty was a leader in Carlson Marketing’s Strategic Alliance team.  Until that point, Patty spent seven years in the operations area of the incentive card group, with responsibilities in product development, program and project management, and overall management of the operations and delivery functions for Prepaid Card Services.

Janet Sancho

Janet Sancho, Senior Vice President , Blackstone                     
With nine years of tenure at Blackstone and eleven years of experience in the prepaid industry, Ms. Sancho heads the national sales and business development efforts for Blackstone, a leading distributor of prepaid products and services for over 12,000 merchant locations nationwide.  In addition, Ms. Sancho oversees Blackstone’s payment processing division, Blackstone Merchant Services, who serves an additional 2,000 merchants with their processing needs.


David SearDavid Sear, Divisional Managing Director, Outsourcing, Travelex
David Sear joined Travelex in March 2006 as Divisional Managing Director Outsourcing. Mr. Sear is responsible for Travelex’s global Outsourcing operations which include Currency Services, Wholesale Banknote, Travelex Insurance Services, Prepaid Cards and Travellers Cheque businesses. He joined Travelex from Voca Ltd (previously BACS), a company at the centre of the UK's banking industry where he was most recently Commercial Director and Chief Marketing Officer. Prior to this he was Chief Operating Officer at WorldPay Group plc, part of RBS. Mr. Sear ran the company's operations as it established its position as a major global player in the adoption and development of e-Commerce. He was also responsible for WorldPay's drive to take e-Commerce into new and emerging markets worldwide. Mr. Sear also spent seven years as European Managing Director at Equifax Cheque Services the world's largest cheque guarantee company.

Kay Segal

Kay Segal, Vice President, CSP Information Group
With more than 25 years of experience in foodservice and c-store industry positions, Kay Segal developed extensive insight into the many intricacies of the convenience, retail petroleum and foodservice business arenas.  Before joining forces with CSP in July of 1996, Segal worked with The Circle K Company (now owned by Couche-tard) in Phoenix, Arizona and handled non-traditional c-store foodservice category management, franchise brand negotiations and program tests as well as proprietary brand development of a daily delivery commissary program.  In Segal’s current role as vice president with CSP, she creates strategy and programming related to providing innovative communication solutions for suppliers operators that results in business growth.


Ann SchmittAnn Schmitt, Director, Edgar, Dunn & Company
A Director in the San Francisco office, Ann brings 25 years experience in financial services and payments, specializing in payment card issuing, ATM, debit card, merchant acquiring, payments processing and consumer lending, particularly auto and real estate.   Ann’s focus at EDC is primarily in the Americas market, working with banks, payments and specialty finance companies, and private equity firms. Ann’s career includes senior roles at leading financial institutions including Citibank, U.S. Bancorp and MasterCard International. Prior to joining EDC in 2008, Ann was President and CEO of two private equity-backed financial services companies where she led turnarounds, including assessing and re-positioning loan portfolios and under-performing units.  She holds an MBA with an emphasis in Finance from University of Colorado, and a BS from South Dakota State University.

Carolyn is responsible for the sale and ongoing relationship management of American Express' prepaid clients in both the Mall and Corporate Bulk channels.   A Boston area native, she is a Boston College graduate with BS degrees in Marketing and General Management.  She has 21 years of company tenure. She has led multi-national sales, account development and sales support organizations for virtually all of the travel and financial services product lines offered by American Express. Her teams design and manage prepaid programs of all sizes and types in a multitude of commercial verticals. They work with a variety of specialists from all areas within American Express during program execution to ensure that customers receive the most comprehensive set of benefits from their partnership with "the Blue Box."

Mark Simon

Mark Simon, CEO, Tuxedo Money Solutions
Mark Simon served as CEO of Tuxedo Money Solutions from May 2007 through September 2008 during which period the company emerged as the fastest-growing UK program manager through dedicated partnerships with corporate and co-brand partners, including the massively successful launch of The Sun-Tuxedo Prepaid MasterCard.  Prior to joining Tuxedo, his career combined increasingly senior roles in IBM in Europe and the United States before two five-year entrepreneurial stretches running a capital markets technology business (in New York) and a health care imaging start-up (in London).  He is now actively seeking his next challenge and can be reached through LinkedIn or at mark@simonfamily.org.uk


Tim Sloane

Tim Sloane is the Director of Mercator Advisory Group’s Prepaid Advisory Service. In this role he advises members throughout the year on business strategy, go-to-market models and program execution of open loop and closed loop solutions.  Tim has performed the annual Mercator Advisory Group Prepaid Benchmark five years running, research that measures the current size and opportunity of 33 prepaid market segments and is used by all of the leading processors and networks to evaluate market direction and market share.  Tim’s project and consulting experiences have included expert witness testimony related to a major mall-based prepaid card program, the optimization of a major processor rollout strategy, and Tim has Developed strategic market assessments and business case analysis for a variety of processors and issuers concerning new markets and the platform capabilities needed to address those markets.  He is frequently quoted in leading industry publications and as indicated by his presence here.


Ozzie Smith

Ozzie Smith, Keynote Speaker, formerly with the St. Louis Cardinals
Ozzie Smith is known in baseball as “The Wizard” and the best defensive shortstop of all time. He was inducted into the baseball Hall of Fame in 2002. Ozzie retired from baseball in 1996 after playing 19 years in the major leagues, the first four years with the San Diego Padres and the final fifteen with the St. Louis Cardinals. His nickname describes the way he played shortstop—he performed magic with his glove and performed in the infield with amazing acrobatic agility.

Ozzie’s charitable endeavors almost always benefit children, and he has spent countless hours assisting various charities such as Multiple Sclerosis, The variety Club, Ronald McDonald House, Annie Malone Children’s Home, The boys Club of St. Louis, and Kids in the Middle. Ozzie has three children and makes St. Louis his home because he feels a deep responsibility to give back to the community that has so enriched his life.

Will Sowell is the Chief Operating Officer for Green Dot Corporation. In his role within the executive team Will is responsible for overseeing Operations, Information Technology and Human Resources. Will was previously VP, Prepaid Products at GE Money. During the previous ten years, Will held roles of increasing responsibility within the GE organization, including positions in GE’s mortgage, credit card and prepaid businesses. Juli C. Spottiswood is President and CEO of Parago, Inc. After joining Parago in 1999 as CFO, she now has assumed the roles of President and CEO in 2006. Spottiswood is responsible for strategic expansion of the company’s offerings and driving innovation within the rebate processing and integrated promotions industry. Spottiswood frequently speaks at industry events and can articulate the benefits of prepaid and stored value cards used in promotional and rebate programs. Of note, Spottiswood spoke at the Prepaid Card Expo in 2006 and 2007. Spottiswood also serves as a board member of the Network Branded Prepaid Card Association and has significant experience in several areas of promotions and marketing, specifically quantifying the current status and future solvency of prepaid cards within the rebate and integrated promotions industry.

Frank Squilla

Frank Squilla, Senior Vice President of Sales, INCOMM
Frank Squilla is currently the Senior Vice President of Sales at InComm.  Frank was introduced to the prepaid phone card industry as Sr. Lending Manager with Allied Mortgage Group when he became a customer of the AmeriVox phone card. In March 1993, Frank became a part-time representative for World Telecom Group Inc. Within 18 months Frank was out of the mortgage business and was named as Business Philadelphia Magazine's "Top 100 People to Watch" in the Pre-Paid Phone Card Industry.

Frank joined GTS Prepaid as its National Sales Director in September of 2001 with many years of Telecom and Pre-Paid experience. While at GTS, Frank managed sales growth in excess of 400%.  GTS was acquired by Pre Solutions in 2004.  At that time, Frank joined InComm as VP for Convenience and Grocery Distribution and has since added the Discount Channel and Indirect Distribution.  In addition to his sales responsibilities, Frank is a sought after speaker in the prepaid industry and speaks at many industry events.  InComm is the largest of the prepaid distributors with customers such as Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Target, CVS, Dollar General, Family Dollar,7-Eleven, Rite Aid, Speedway SuperAmerica, HEB, Winn Dixie, Quick Trip, Sheetz and many more.

Frank is a 1982 graduate of St. Joseph's University, (PA) with a BS in Accounting.  He and his wife April live outside of Philadelphia in Washington Township, NJ and have three grown daughters.


Lisa StantonLisa Stanton, CEO, Monitise Americas
Lisa Stanton has been with Monitise Americas since it's formation in early 2007 and her primary focus is to extend the Monitise Ecosystem within the US by expanding relationships with cellular carriers, financial institutions, card issuers and transaction networks. Prior to joining Monitise Americas, Lisa spent 16 years with Citizens Financial Group (the US Division of RBS), most recently leading the payments and ATM businesses. She has an extensive knowledge of U.S. payments networks, affinity programs, and innovative payments advancements, including contactless transactions and is frequently featured as a speaker and subject matter expert in the area of mobilizing payments.  Lisa has served on the MasterCard Debit Advisory Board, the STAR Marketing Advisory Board and the NYCE Network Oversight Board.

Margo Strahlberg

Margo Strahlberg, Associate, Bryan Cave LLP
Margo Strahlberg is an Associate with the law firm of Bryan Cave LLP, based in the Chicago office.  Her practice focuses on the regulation of stored value and other electronic payment products. Her areas of expertise cover state abandoned property laws, consumer protection laws and the state regulation of money services businesses.  She regularly monitors and reports on pending legislation and regulations in these areas.

Ms. Strahlberg is scheduled to speak at the 2009 Unclaimed Property Professionals Organization on the topic of abandoned property law and privacy.  She also served as Editor of the Network Branded Prepaid Card Association’s Industry White Paper, Abandoned Property Laws and Network Branded Prepaid Cards: The Anti-Consumer and Anti-Business Consequences from Forcing a Square Peg into a Round Hole.  In December of 2007, Ms. Strahlberg published an article in the Journal of Payment Systems Law entitled Getting your Just Rewards - A Proposal for the Treatment of Prepaid Rewards Cards under State Abandoned Property and Consumer Protection Laws.  Ms. Strahlberg also serves as Co-Vice Chair to the Payments Fraud Task Force for the American Bar Association’s Subcommittee on Cyberspace Law.

Leland Strange is the Managing Director for CoreCard Software, Inc., with operations in Atlanta, Romania and India.  He was Vice Chairman of PaySys (VisionPlus Software) at the time CoreCard was spun out prior to completion of First Data's acquisition of PaySys.  CoreCard's licensed software provides flexible solutions for every aspect of the card business - PrePaid, Gift, Credit, Fleet, BankCards, and Loans in a real-time system with native multi-currency and multi-lingual capabilities. Strange also serves as Chief Executive Officer for CoreCard Software's parent company, Intelligent Systems and graduated from Georgia Tech.

Yuval TalYuval Tal, Chief Executive Officer and Founder, Payoneer, Inc.
Yuval Tal is CEO and founder of Payoneer, a New York City-based company whose payout solutions lets organizations pay their people worldwide using prepaid MasterCard® cards that are managed online. He has over 20 years of experience in Internet commerce-related technology startups, with in-depth expertise in prepaid card applications, currency exchange, and security technologies. Before founding Payoneer in the spring of 2005, Tal co-founded E4X, a provider of services that expedite cross-border payments on the Internet. Tal also served as vice president of business development for RADWARE (NASDAQ: RDWR) and in an elite combat unit of the Israel Defense Forces.

David Tate

David Tate, Group Vice President, Blackhawk Network
David Tate is Group Vice President of Blackhawk Network where he manages various retail partners in Blackhawk Network’s billion-dollar gift card business. David started his career in sales for Comtel and then moved to On Technology where he served in various Sales, Management and Executive roles helping the company reach a successful IPO on Nasdaq (ONTC). Before Blackhawk Network, David served as SVP of Sales at Webhelp, Inc., helping businesses build an online presence.


 

David Taylor, Category Diector, ExxonMobil
David Taylor is the Category Director for Services at ExxonMobil.  His Category Management background includes General Merchandise, Cooler Beverages, Car Wash, and Edible/Non Edible merchandise.  He has worked for Companies that include Chevron, 7-Eleven, and Pilot. In addition to Category Director, he has held positions in Operations and Marketing that include General Manager, District Manager, Merchandise Manager, Retail Account Manager, Franchise Coordinator, and Field Consultant.

In addition to prepaid services, he has focused the past 5 years on research and development of ewiz, a financial services kiosk. 


David TeitelbaumDavid Teitelbaum, Partner, Sidley Austin LLP
David Teitelbaum is a partner in the D.C. office of Sidley Austin LLP.  He has a broad regulatory practice for all types of financial institutions, including entities at every stage of the prepaid value chain. He assists these companies, including financial institutions, retailers, processors and payments networks, in all aspects of the creation and operation of a number of prepaid, stored value and mobile payments programs, including regulatory analysis, structural development, negotiation of commercial relationships, drafting of consumer agreement and disclosures and construction of payment system rules governing such products.  His publications include the U.S. chapter of the International Monetary Fund book, Payment Systems of the World and contributions to The Law of Electronic Fund Transfers (Warren, Gorham & Lamont). 

Jennifer Tescher

She went on to SunTrust Merchant Services, where she was a corporate account executive responsible for bringing acquiring-merchant processing business from corporate and national accounts. Prior to iStockphoto he was Senior Brand Manager at the enterprise search company Verity, Inc.

 

Dina Thomsen, Senior Vice President of Sales, Green Dot Corporation
Dina is Senior Vice President of Sales at Green Dot Corporation, the leading provider of financial services to the financially underserved. Dina leads overall corporate sales strategy, all retail sales initiatives and delivers on the company’s continued aggressive revenue growth plan. Prior to joining Green Dot, Dina was VP of Sales & Marketing at CaseStack Inc., a fast-growing business process outsourcing company providing cutting edge supply chain solutions to consumer packaged goods companies and the country's largest retailers. Paul is a well-known payment systems executive with over 26 years experience in retail financial services.  Two Sparrows Consulting specializes in all aspects of small-value payment systems.  Since its formation in 2002, Two Sparrows Consulting has advised numerous industry leading firms including First Data, NACHA, PULSE, MoneyGram, HSBC, My Rewards, The Port Authority of New York/New Jersey, BITS, NYCE, NBPCA, Discover, VISA and MasterCard. Mr. Tomasofsky specializes in operations analysis, strategic planning, training, competitive analysis, and product development.  During the past five years he has consulted extensively on prepaid cards, reward programs, payments risk management, product positioning, outsourced procurement and operational topics. Natasha Toothill

Natasha Toothill, Chairperson, Gift Card and Voucher Association
Natasha has been involved in the gift voucher and gift card market for over 12 years. As Chair of the UK Gift Card & Voucher Association, Natasha has a wealth of experience in corporate and consumer markets with gift vouchers, gift cards and prepaid cards.

At Payzone, as Director of Gift Services she has developed closed loop gift cards, prepaid shopping centre gift cards, open loop corporate incentive cards, and retailer cards, placing Payzone firmly in the UK prepaid card sector.

Previously Natasha was Product Development Director at Capital Incentives, a division of Accor where she created the Compliments Card, the first semi open loop multi retailer product in the market.


 

Mike Triantafellou, President and CEO, Handee Marts
Mike is the President and CEO of Handee Marts, the second oldest licensee of 7- Eleven in the USA. Handee Marts currently operates 64 7-Eleven Stores in their license territory which includes Western PA , NE Ohio, and a few counties in West VA and MD.  Handee Marts was  recently awarded the Pittsburgh Region's  2008 Business Ethics Award by the University of Pittsburgh -  David Berg School of Ethics and the Society for Financial Services Professionals .   Mike is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and has been employed in the truckstop and convenience store industry for the past 34 years. He was named the Retailer of the Year by the Texas Grocery and Convenience Store Association (TGCA)  in 2006. Mike and Jackie live outside of Pittsburgh and have four grown children who reside in Philadelphia, NJ & Texas  as well as six grandchildren.


Brian TriplettBrian Triplett, Global Head of Prepaid, VISA
Brian Triplett is responsible for the strategy, development and management of all aspects of Visa’s prepaid product platform.  In this role, Triplett leads a global team focused on driving value to key stakeholders – financial institutions, corporations, merchants, cardholders, and processors – through Visa’s prepaid product channels.  Triplett joined Visa USA in 2000, and held several senior positions within Visa’s product organization.  Previously, Triplett was senior vice president of Emerging Product Development for Visa USA, with responsibility for Visa’s new payment and security technologies such as the Visa payWave program and new authentication strategies.  Prior to joining Visa, Triplett held positions at American Express, including a role on the New Business Venture team, responsible for the development of prepaid products and chip-based payment devices.  He also served with the Corporate Services group, developing new products and services for commercial customers.

Mark Troughton, President, Cards and Network, oversees the prepaid card business at retailers nationwide for Green Dot Corporation.  He also leads the Green Dot Financial Network (GDFN) management team.  Under his leadership, Green Dot has expanded its distribution and in-store presence in major retailers across the country and GDFN has become America’s leading reload and cash acceptance network.  Prior to joining Green Dot Corporation, Mark ran Internet software businesses in Dallas and London.  Previously, Mark worked for McKinsey and Company in London.  He began his career as a Chartered Accountant in South Africa. 

Chris Truelson

Chris Truelson is Senior Vice President of TSYS Prepaid Services, a division of TSYS (NYSE: TSS). Mr. Truelson is responsible for leading the business development, sales, marketing and product development areas of the company. Mr. Truelson is a veteran of TSYS and brings more than 17 years of overall payment services industry experience to TSYS Prepaid. His background includes various positions with U.S. Bank, Rocky Mountain Bankcard, Aimbridge Lending and Boatmen's Bancshares. Thien H. Truong is Vice President of Global Prepaid Servicing for American Express. Thien joined the company in 2007 to manage prepaid products for the Retail Channel, which encompasses the Mass, Supermarket, Drug, and Convenience class of trade. Thien was born in Vietnam and grew up in Central Missouri. He graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a bachelor's degree in economics and an emphasis in bio-chemistry. After college, Thien began his career at Procter & Gamble Co. in various sales management roles. Before joining American Express, Thien worked at Pepsi Co., where he managed the Northeast Region for Frito Lay.

Kirsten Trusko is the President and Executive Director of the NBPCA (Network Branded Prepaid Card Association). This not for profit organization is focused on the education of consumers, business, and government around the differences between the many types of Prepaid Cards in the market and the unique benefits in each. She’s written white papers, articles, and blogs on Prepaid Cards, Health Banking, Underbanked, Consumer Driven Healthcare, Insurance Claims Cards, and is a frequent industry speaker. Ms Trusko serves on several cross-industry councils focused in financial services, health and insurance, and how Prepaid Cards, as a non-credit payment tool, can uniquely meet industry, government, and consumer needs.


 

Jennifer Vanderwall, Vice President, Global Product, Healthcare Solutions, Mastercard
As Senior Business Leader, Healthcare Solutions, Jennifer drives MasterCard’s global strategy to address the payment needs of the healthcare market and is responsible for thought leadership, product innovation and development. 

Jennifer has over 15 years of experience in the healthcare industry.  Prior to her current role, she held leadership positions in employer benefits, health and welfare consulting and insurance operations.  She holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a major in Healthcare Management and an M.B.A. with a concentration in Finance, both from the University of Connecticut.

Mark Vanni is Vice President, Global Prepaid Product, MasterCard Worldwide. In this role, Mark oversees development and service delivery for MasterCard's prepaid products and services; enhancing core platforms; supporting the development of new processing services; and ensuring support from third party prepaid processors.

Mark has been a leader in the prepaid industry since 1999, when he helped found Solspark, a prepaid solutions provider with clients including MasterCard, Concord EFS/FirstData and Certegy.


Carrie VriheasCarrie Vriheas, Head of Global Category Infrastructure, Prepaid Products, Visa Inc.
Carrie Vriheas is responsible for management, strategic planning, and development of the operations and infrastructure needed to support Visa prepaid products globally. Ms. Vriheas joined Visa in 2001 as a member of the Product Development team. In 2004 she joined the Prepaid product group to develop and launch Visa’s student funds card initiative and Visa TravelMoney, Visa’s popular card program designed to provide a better alternative to traveler’s checks and cash.  Most recently, Ms. Vriheas lead Visa’s efforts to expand the availability of Visa prepaid products into the retail sales channel, managing the program from the pilot phase to full, national rollout in more than 40,000 retail locations in the U.S. Prior to joining Visa, Ms. Vriheas held positions in product development and marketing at several organizations including AT&T (formerly SBC Communications).

Amir Wain founded Innovative Private Limited, a software-development firm, in 1987 and created the transaction processing platform FastCash. Propelled by the success of Innovative and expanding market opportunities, Wain founded i2c Inc. and brought to market its MCP (My Card Place) prepaid platform, a complete suite of tools that includes transaction processing, card-program management, and performance measurement. He coined the term "Prepaid2.0" to describe the paradigm shift in thinking about the future of the prepaid industry, which involves integrating all aspects of the prepaid product and service lifecycle into comprehensive, flexible solutions. At i2c, Wain continues to develop his vision with strategies to meet the needs of the evolving, Prepaid2.0 marketplace.

Carman WenkoffCarman Wenkoff, President of Value Pay Services LLC
Carman Wenkoff has overall responsibility for the management and operations of the SUBWAY® Cash Card, Rewards Card and Integrated Credit/Debit programs in the United States and Canada. Wenkoff has over 16 years experience working in franchised environments. He was previously President of Stored Value Management, Inc., a management firm focused exclusively on electronic payment and loyalty program management.  He has also held senior management positions in Legal, Finance and Operations for various private and public technology companies, and previously practiced commercial, technology and franchising law. He has degrees in both business administration and law, and is licensed to practice law in British Columbia and the State of Washington.

Clay WilkesClay Wilkes, Chief Executive Officer, Galileo
Mr. Wilkes is the founder of Galileo and also the founder and former CEO of I-Link, Inc. He has extensive business, banking, and corporate finance experience and a strong technical background. In his role as CEO of I-Link, Inc., Mr. Wilkes authored the voice over IP patent. He previously served as a consultant to IBM Corporation and managed development groups at Novell. He is the Managing Partner and founder of Foundation Capital LLC, a private equity fund.

 

Aaron Williams, Manager, Continental Airlines
Aaron Williams is Manager of CAL Field Services, a department of Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL). Mr. Williams is responsible for managing the business development of Continental Airlines’ amenity voucher program covering 265 airport locations around the world.  Mr. Williams has been with Continental Airlines in various positions for more than 10 years.  His background includes positions with Affiliated Building Services (ABS), Nike, and U.S. West.   Mr. Williams earned his bachelor's degree from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia, and his master's degree in business administration from Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.


 

Suzanne Williams, Manager, BSA/AML Risk, FEDERAL RESERVE BOARD
Suzanne Williams is the Manager of the BSA/AML Risk Section of the Division of Banking Supervision and Regulation at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System.  In this position, she works with Reserve Bank and Board staff in designing supervisory strategies to address complex Bank Secrecy Act/AML issues.   Ms. Williams develops BSA/AML policy guidance for financial institutions, in coordination with other federal government agencies.  

Ms. Williams previously served as a Senior Regulatory Compliance Program Specialist at the Department of the Treasury's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, as a Senior Financial Analyst in the International Branch of the Division of Supervision at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and as a Commissioned Bank Examiner for the FDIC.  She received a Master of Science degree from the University of Maryland with a major in Financial Management and a Bachelor of Science degree from Kings College with a major in International Business.

As CEO, Williams has built eCommLink into one of the top providers of innovative prepaid programs within the physical, virtual and mobile spaces. An industry pioneer, Williams was responsible for what is considered one of the first prepaid gift card programs during his tenure at Blockbuster and is credited with creating gift card programs for retailers such as Kmart, Kroger and Exxon.  Williams also serves as a consultant to local and federal governments as they continue to move to a paperless payments environment.

Mark W. Yusko is the President and Chief Investment Officer of Morgan Creek Capital Management, LLC, a registered investment adviser formed in July 2004 to provide investment management and advisory services based on the University Endowment Model of investing to wealthy families, individuals and institutional investors.

Prior to forming Morgan Creek, Mark served as the Chief Investment Officer for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) from 1998 to 2004. Mark, and his team, founded the UNC Management Company (UNCMC) in July of 2002 to provide comprehensive investment advisory services to the University including strategic and tactical asset allocation, investment manager selection, manager performance evaluation, spending policy management and performance reporting. Total assets under management were $1.5 billion, $1.2 billion of Endowment and $300 million of University working capital.
