The business process of innovation: "are we there yet?"

There will always be a great new idea, approach or technique and the FEI conference is great place to learn these from leaders in the discipline, but the divergence amongst practitioners is now mostly semantic. So, maybe we are getting there. However, the implementation is entirely personal – what works for one company may not work for another, and to piece the learnings together, you need a framework. This workshop will provide you with just that: a framework to allow you to join the dots between the pieces that you pick up over the event and amplify your ability to connect those learnings into a more powerful take-away, i.e. to help you make the whole more valuable than the sum of the parts.

Through a series of tutorials, examples and interactive exercises, the workshop will provide you with this framework, as well as a number of practical take-aways in their own right:

• Doing it - Learn how to structure the FEI from needs identification to refined concept; how to plan a project.
• Managing it - Learn about the levers you have to drive innovation and an innovative culture– including strategy, processes, resources, organization and leadership.
• Supporting it - Learn an inventory of tools, from design, marketing, business and R&D perspectives, to use from discovery (users, markets, business, trends) to strategic management and culture
