Thank you for attending the 12th Annual Education Industry Investment Forum

The 12th Annual Education Industry Investment Forum brought together practitioners, investors, and regulators who shared their best practices and strategies for success. The industry is on the threshold of a great movement, and opportunities abound for professionals and the students that are ultimately served. New innovations in technology are enhancing educational experiences for students around the globe, and providing differently-abled students with more opportunities than ever before. Another major theme of the conference was public/private partnerships, and how working together, while potentially challenging, can also bring about success for investors and students alike.

EIIF attendees had the opportunity to ask the tough questions of Dan Madzelan, Acting Assistant Secretary for Post Secondary Education. Washington insider Tom Netting and Conference Co-Chair Peter Leyton outlined proposed and recent student financing legislation that will have a lasting impact on the industry. Tom Vander Ark highlighted funding opportunities from “impact investors,“ investors dedicated to doing good while doing well. Josh Jarrett of The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation gave an overview of successful partnerships between foundations, investors and operators.

Panels explored issues ranging from opportunities for investment in international organizations throughout India and Latin America; Race to the Top and other legislative issues impacting K12; public/private partnerships; and provided some much-needed guidance on the accreditation process.
