The boot camp is designed to be both interactive and hands on: Kathleen Gilroy, Sylvia Marino, and Tara Hunt will guide participants through a planning process and share our experience about each phase of community development. At the end of the Boot Camp, participants will take away a development plan they have completed during the course of the session. Phase 1: Planning 12:30 - 1:30 Lunch 1:30 - 5:00 PM Workshop PM Workshop Francois Gossieaux, President, Corante Rachel Makool, Senior Director, Community Development, eBay Mark Yolton, Vice President, SAP Community Network, SAP Ed Moran, Director, Product Innovation, Deloitte This advanced workshop will start with a review of the results of a Deloitte-sponsored research study in which they asked companies how they currently measure success and progress within their business communities. In this workshop we will also make recommendations on how to go beyond the traditional measurements – i.e., page views, number of active participants vs. lurkers, number of ideas generated through the community, etc. – to get not only trailing indicators of how well communities are doing, but also leading indicators of what can be expected from certain communities.We will also go over the tools and processes that companies should put in place to measure the health and outcomes of their business communities. Attendees to this workshop can expect to gain a deeper understanding of how other companies are measuring success in their communities as well as walk away with a set of recommendations on what they should do to measure progress within their own communities.
