PANEL DISCUSSION – Winning the Hearts, Minds (and Dollars) of the American Public

The benefits of consumer-driven health care have yet to fully resonate with the public at large, and with health care topping the list of American's domestic concerns in a Presidential election year, all stakeholders – insurance companies, benefits consultants, TPAs, physicians, plan providers, and employers – must do a better job of not only communicating the benefits of CDHC, but illustrating how customer choice isn't a burden, but an empowering tool enabling them to not only save money, but ensure better care for them and their families.

Mark O'Leary, SVP, TSYS HEALTHCARE

Creating Price Transparency and Streamlining the Claims Adjudication at the Point of Care

Price transparency, individualized benefit information, claim adjudication, and provider payment activity must be made available in real time at the point of care for consumers to willingly adopt a new health care model. However, creating a real-time information process and infrastructure requires careful coordination between all stakeholders, including members, card brand networks, processors, PBMs, pharmacies, providers, health plans, TPAs, solution providers, and financial institutions. Discussion on Auto-Substantiation and IIAS deadlines and compliance will also be covered in this session.
