Craig Geiger is currently serving as the Director of Category Development at Barilla America. During his nearly 7 years at Barilla, he has built the Category Management Organization and infrastructure from the ground up, enabling Barilla to gain pasta category captain partnerships at several leading retailers.
Prior to joining Barilla, Craig worked at Kraft Foods where he was first trained in Best Practices Category Management, and was part of the team that successfully standardized category management tools and approaches across the Kraft, General Foods and Oscar Mayer Divisions.
Born in Chicago, Craig started his career in Sales at Del Monte, moving to Sales Management positions and also into national Sales Planning and Category Management roles over the last 28 years in the Consumer Products Industry.
Craig has been a Speaker in past IIR Conferences, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the University of Illinois.

Joe’s passion for creative problem solving has helped him generate innovative, business building ideas incorporating both consumer and shopper marketing elements. With Interscope and Euro RSCG Meridian, Joe’s focus includes activating shopper insights, category reinvention, leadership platforms, and kids marketing at retail. Category experience includes a wide range of GM, HBC, food, and beverages across all trade classes. Joe always has at least one eye on the consumer thanks to his ten-year career in CPG marketing which included stints at Bristol-Myers Squibb, Church & Dwight, and Johnson & Johnson. He holds a BA in economics from Bates and an MBA from Michigan.

Alison Chaltas brings 20+ years experience leading the industry in category management and shopper marketing across the US and Europe. Alison’s academic credentials include an AB in economics from Harvard University, a MBA in marketing & organization behavior from Northwestern University’s JL Kellogg Graduate School of Management, and advanced coursework in channels management & communication at New York University. She has been a lecturer at Northwestern and the Michigan State University and is a frequent industry speaker, particularly focused on the Future of Category Management and Navigating Shopper Marketing.
