SCL & Visa will be presenting their collective experience in the world of prepaid, focussing on the theme of innovation.

As well as the technical innovation that both organisations can demonstrate their leadership in, the presenters will also chart the evolution of prepaid programmes in terms of product innovation, covering all prepaid categories from Giftcards to Multi-function event & transit cards.

The webinar will also highlight innovation in evangelising  prepaid into new markets and examine some of the adaptations that are needed to specialise or localise programmes to cater for the differing perceptions, attitudes and market conditions in previously un- or under-served territories.

Similarly, it will focus on the migration of prepaid from the world of retail into different areas such as government, healthcare, insurance, entertainment and transport.

The theme of innovation will be illustrated throughout with real-world examples from both organisations.

About the Speakers:

Patrick has been with SCL since 2001 and has built up a vast network of relationships within the industry and accumulated a considerable knowledge and experience of both the Travel Money and Pre-paid markets. As a result Pat�s experience is often called upon by new and existing clients when deciding on the best approach to take for their endeavours in these markets.

Greg Sheppard is Senior Manager within the Prepaid Centre of Excellence at Visa Europe, responsible for Product Development.  Greg works across Europe with prepaid issuers to develop and launch new prepaid cards as well as helping banks to manage their existing programmes. He is also responsible for marketing communications, business case modelling and the commercialisation of prepaid.

Greg has been an integral part of the success of VISA Europe in the prepaid industry for the last two years, having worked in the prepaid and cards market for the last 13 years. 

 

Brian Triplett is responsible for the strategy, development and management of all aspects of Visa’s prepaid product platform.  In this role, Triplett leads a global team focused on driving value to key stakeholders – financial institutions, corporations, merchants, cardholders, and processors – through Visa’s prepaid product channels. 

Triplett’s deep experience across the payments industry includes expertise in developing electronic payment products, managing commercial industry alliances and establishing payment platforms for  B2B e-commerce, smart cards, prepaid products and contactless card products.
