We are delighted to present IIR's 14th Annual Medicaid Managed Care Congress, the best practices event for States and Plans looking to improve quality and control healthcare costs. The event offers 3-days of workshops, case studies and interactive panel discussions with the nation's leading Medicaid experts who provide the tools required to implement effective quality improvement initiatives, including pay for performance, disease management, and predictive modeling.

With representatives from over 20 states, the event also provides strategies to improve fiscal operations with sessions on Managed Care expansion into SSI and Long Term Care, implementing Consumer Directed Care accounts for Medicaid populations and effective strategies for using encounter data for rate setting and quality improvement.

On Monday June 19th participants have a choice of two pre-conference workshops on Member Services expansion or Medicaid Rate Setting and Reimbursement or a full day seminar titled Establishing and Managing a Successful Special Needs Program to Leverage Opportunities Created by the 2003 Medicare Modernization Act.

On Tuesday, June 20th the first day of the main event, Dennis Smith, Director of the Center for Medicaid and State Operations at CMS has been invited to provide an update on CMS activities at the federal level. This is followed by a keynote presentation from Grace Marie-Turner, President of the Galen Institute and member of the Medicaid Commission on trends impacting Medicaid Managed Care. The morning closes with the annual State Medicaid Directors panel featuring:

In the afternoon you can choose between the Operations and Financial Management track or the Care Management and Quality Improvement track. Experts in both areas share knowledge and experience on a variety of topics including: implementing consumer directed solutions for public programs, implementing pay for performance and value based purchasing programs, and making the business case for quality in Medicaid Managed Care.

This is followed by a series of presentations on financial and operational issues in track a and quality care strategies in Track B.
