JULIE HUANG TAPPED TO LEAD IIR'S PHARMACEUTICAL, BIOTECH, AND HEALTHCARE DIVISION
New York, NY, May 21, 2008 - IIR, the world's leading knowledge and skills transfer company, announced the hiring of Julie Huang, as managing director of its U.S. Pharmaceutical, Biotech, and Healthcare Division that originates market-centered conferences. She will report directly to Debra Chipman, Chief Executive Officer of IIR USA.
"She is an exceptional individual who brings a solid understanding of market forces and a focus on value creation," said Ms. Chipman. "Julie's extensive industry experience and strategic counsel will be integral to the continued growth and success of this division."

Ms. Huang joins IIR from EVC Group, where she was managing director in its New York office. Before EVC Group, Ms. Huang served as a member of senior management of other leading public relations firms such as FD, Cohn Wolfe, and Edelman. She provided C-level communications counsel to pharmaceutical and healthcare companies and focused on public and investor relations, corporate and clinical development, third party reimbursement and alliance development. Her client programs were honored twice with the Silver Anvil for Best Investor Relations awarded by the Public Relations Society of America. Ms. Huang was also an Iron Sabre Award Finalist for her article on pharma-biotech alliances published in the April 2004 issue of Pharmaceutical Executive.
Ms. Huang started her career on Wall Street as a summer associate at Credit Suisse First Boston. She earned a Master's in Public Health and a Master's in Business Administration both from Yale University and a Bachelor's degree in sociology from Brooklyn College.
A native New Yorker, Ms. Huang is a co-founder, vice president, and member of the Board of Directors of the Yale Life Science Alumni Association, a past president of the New York Chapter of the National Association of Asian American Professionals, and fluent in spoken Mandarin Chinese.
