Application of Automation to Understanding Sample Preparation for HPLC
Historically HPLC methods for API were developed and validated with a focus on the instrumental parameters while the actual solution used for injection was largely ignored. Solution preparation has not been easy to study within modern statistically driven designs. Tools are needed that help the analyst to bridge this gap and align the whole analytical method with the principles of Quality by Design. This presentation will focus on the application of the recently introduced APW3 workstation coupled with a Design of Experiments approach in the pursuit of robust HPLC methodologies.
