Agriculture 2.0 in San Francisco: Thanks for a great event!
On April 11-12, over 170 senior decision makers of the agriculture investment, technology and agribusiness industries gathered at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square for the fifth edition of the popular Agriculture 2.0 conference series. Attendees participated in robust discussions on the future trajectory of the global food system, price drivers, and how to best play their hand when entering what for many players is a new asset class.
Sustainability was on the forefront as participants learned about breakthroughs in biopesticides, cultured meat, open-ocean aquaculture, fuel additives from orange peels, energy generation from livestock waste, climate change effects on farmland investments and the future of sustainability metrics in the agrifood supply chain.
The agenda was packed with high quality content, extensive networking breaks, VIP-led champagne round table discussions and a cocktail reception featuring local California organic wines and beers. Over the course of the two days, management teams presented their proprietary technologies in front of prospective investors as well as their peers and colleagues through the Ag 2.0 Venture Fair.
The Ag 2.0 Global Investments conference and Water 2.0 Investment Summit in November promise to take the conversation to new heights and new audiences.
A very special thank you to the Ag 2.0 sponsors for their support!

About Agriculture 2.0 San Francisco:
For the first time Ag 2.0 added several verticals to a multi-day format. This continued expansion will facilitate the creation of a commercial marketplace for the industry—a first of its kind, one-stop shop not only for venture capitalists and early stage companies, but also for senior decision makers in agribusiness and farmland funds, commodities experts, growth stage and institutional investors, key industry insiders, and policy makers. They all come together at Agriculture 2.0 with one intent – to catalyze and capitalize on this rapidly evolving industry.
About Agriculture 2.0:
This is the only conference series dedicated to the business of sustainable agriculture. Since its premiere in New York City in the Fall of 2009, Agriculture 2.0 has garnered wide-ranging respect from all sides of the sustainable agriculture industry for its seriousness of purpose and ability to provide a fertile environment for collaboration. Agriculture 2.0 is produced by IIR USA and co-hosted by NewSeed Advisors.
