IIR and Shared Insights' Enterprise Architectures Conference
The 1st Annual EAX Awards
October 22-26, 2007 Caesars Palace Las Vegas, Nevada

Terms:

The end-user key contact must be available to the judges, and must be willing to be quoted in press releases and articles. Each nomination must include a completed entry form signed by the end-user organization and accompanying documentation that provides answers to the questions detailed in nomination questions.

Nominations should be sent by e-mail to Aimee Sommo at EACAwards@iirusa.com. Only submissions received by 5:00pm EST on Friday, September 28, 2007 will be considered by the judges. Nominations must not contain proprietary or confidential material. All nomination material will become the property of IIR.

The Judging Process
During the judgment of entries, the judging panel will be asked to evaluate each nomination based on the criteria outlined below. During this process, the judges may contact the nominee for more detailed information. The winners will be announced October 22-26, 2007 at the IIR and Shared Insights' Enterprise Architectures Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. Winners will receive an award at the event. They also may be invited to present case studies at future IIR conferences.    

Judges will consist of leading industry analysts, consultants, and editors. These judges will be looking for enterprise architecture programs that best satisfy the criteria for each category:

Nomination Questions
To enable judges to evaluate and compare nominations all submissions must be documented in terms of answers to the questions outlined below in the form of brief narratives.  The more complete information you can provide, the better the judges can evaluate the submission.  Promotion of vendor products or services is not permitted.

1. Briefly describe the company, its size, structure and organizational model
2. Briefly describe the EA program, its origins, size, reporting location, longevity, core mission and primary roles and responsibilities.
3. Identify the awards category from above and describe the reasons that this EA program qualifies.  Include sample models, deliverables, etc. where appropriate in your narrative.  Any additional perspectives, supporting material, descriptions, etc. that will help the judges more fully evaluate the submission should be included in this section.
4. Specifically summarize any features of your EA program that are considered to be unique or innovative.    

Entry Form
Please submit an entry form that contains: award category; end-user company name, contact details and signature.  If nomination is submitted by any software or services vendor on behalf of one of their clients, submission must also include vendor name, contact details and signature.  This entry should say that by signing the form the signers deemed the submission to be accurate and truthful, and that the submission may be used for PR purposes. Nominations should be sent by e-mail to Aimee Sommo at EACAwards@iirusa.com
